How LiftRank measures AI Search visibility

Last updated: May 2026

LiftRank measures AI Search visibility by running your tracked prompts across 11 AI engines on a set schedule, recording whether and how your brand appears, and rolling the results into a single 0โ€“100 LiftRank Score. The Score blends five signals: coverage, average position, sentiment, share of voice, and citation rate.

What we check

For each tracked prompt, LiftRank queries the AI engines in your plan and records whether your brand is mentioned, where it appears in the answer, how it is described, who else is mentioned, and whether a source is cited.

The 5 signals behind the LiftRank Score

How often we scan

Free plans scan monthly, Starter weekly, and Pro and above daily, plus on-demand runs whenever you want a fresh read. Fresh data matters: AI assistants cite content roughly 25.7% fresher than traditional organic search (Ahrefs, 2025).

The 11 engines we track

ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Grok, Google AI Mode, Meta Llama, Mistral, Qwen. We track the engines your buyers actually use and remove any engine that cannot be queried reliably โ€” so the number reflects stable coverage, not a marketing count.

Why one number

A single 0โ€“100 score makes AI visibility trackable over time and easy to report to a client or a leadership team โ€” the same way a credit score turns many signals into one number you can act on.

Questions about our methodology

How accurate is the LiftRank Score?
The Score reflects real queries run against live AI engines on your schedule; results naturally vary as engines update, which is why we track trend over time, not a single snapshot.
Why 11 engines and not more?
We only count engines we can query reliably; unstable engines are removed so the number stays honest.
